«Bavaria» took part in a charity event dedicated to bone marrow donation organized by the «Bit Dobru» Foundation and the «Mega» Medical Center.

On average, 10,000 people need bone marrow transplantation every year, but only 1,500 of them actually receive help. Finding a bone marrow donor is problematic. Firstly, due to the fact that there are many myths associated with this, although in fact bone marrow donation is not painful and dangerous. And secondly, it is difficult to find the right person. The donor should have maximum tissue compatibility with the patient: the genes responsible for the recognition of cells by the immune system should be almost the same. Each of us can take a swab from the oral cavity for the database. When a person needs help, they will look for a "genetic twin" from this database to ask him for help.
